I was surprised when the Wings didn't give Lashoff a job a few seasons ago. It was after he had a real solid season from being called up, but they waived him before Game 1. They also had Quincey, though...

On the flip side, he's been terrible in this call-up. Can't agree that he "didn't make any glaring mistakes" when the first goal was all on him for being softer than Dairy Queen and getting checked without moving the puck anywhere.
